Description:

A small to medium-sized leaf-warbler with yellowish supercilium and underparts. From Sulphur-bellied by greenish-brown upperparts, greenish edges to wing feathers, and brighter lemon-yellow underparts. Supercilium is similar in coloration to throat, and eye-stripe is more clearly defined, contrasting with yellowish ear-coverts.


Distribution:

Common summer visitor to the Ghizer, Nagar, Gilgit, Diamer and Astore; and parts of Hunza and Skardu. Breeds among rocks and low bushes in dry barren mountains, alpine/subalpine shrubs with dwarf juniper. Between 3000-4200m along and above tree-line.


Behavior:

Forages low down among vegetation and on ground; active and acrobatic when feeding, often clinging upside-down to leaves; also makes short dashing flights in pursuit of insects. Food mostly small insects, including weevils and other small beetles, aphids, flies, midges and larvae.
